**Approaching Stanford will begin for the class of 2022 on May 14, 2018. The information on this page will be updated for new students in the class of 2022 and new transfers in May 2018. The content on this page is for Approaching Stanford 2017.** Approaching Stanford materials will be mailed to you beginning May 15, 2017. All documents and publications included in that mailing (except Three Books) are available to view and download online.

First year students should read this publication in order to rank preferences for the Thinking Matters requirement on Form 5 and Form 6 of the Approaching Stanford Forms. Transfers are invited to attend Transfer Visit Day on Friday, August 18, 2017. TVD is a structured program that introduces you to fellow transfer students and to others who have transferred here before you, and that introduces you to key people and resources that can help your transition to Stanford.
