Shipping Your Belongings

If you are planning to ship items as you move to campus, please keep in mind that you can only receive packages after you have moved in. Do not send your belongings in advance of your arrival, as packages that arrive before you do will be returned to the sender. The University does not have the space to store packages before you arrive. If you or your family/parents are planning to stay in a nearby hotel before checking in at Stanford, inquire whether it is possible to have belongings shipped there.

Packages will not be accepted at any of the student residences; any packages mistakenly addressed to a student residence will be returned to the sender.

Shipping via U.S. Postal Service

Pick-up at Stanford Post Office

All packages shipped via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will be accepted and held for pick up at the Stanford Post Office in White Plaza as part of your P.O. Box services. You will be able to view your P.O. Box assignment in September on Axess under the Student Center tab. You will receive your mailbox key when you check-in for NSO. Packages sent to campus via the USPS should be addressed as follows:

Note: The Stanford Post Office uses a different zip code (94309) than the zip code used for physical addresses at Stanford (94305).


Shipping via Other Carriers

Pick-up at Stanford FedEx Office Tresidder

All packages sent via non-USPS carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, OnTrac, and from online orders, should be directed to the FedEx Office located on the first floor of Tresidder Union, not to the Post Office.

For non-USPS packages, use the following address format:

Use this format if you are ordering from an online merchant (e.g. Amazon) and do not know which carrier will be used to ship your items.

Once your package arrives, you will receive email notification for pick-up from the Stanford FedEx Office Tresidderlocated on the 1st floor of the Tresidder Union. Hours of service are Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.


OCM Bedding

Bedding puchased through Stanford Student Enterprise's partnership with Our Campus Market (OCM), a third-party vendor, will be shipped to the SSE Office in Old Union for pick-up when you move in. Instructions will be included in a summer letter from the SSE/ASSU. Please direct questions about your OCM bedding order to the SSE.
