Open Arts Intensive is a One-unit option.*

One week of arts workshops led by Arts faculty!
Day & Times/ duration vary by media, see schedule.

Re-image your practice, build a community with other arts interested students, and reduce the separation from the Stanford campus and each other! This is an invitation to refocus on what you need out of art in this moment and how we can retool our existing practices and lives to make space for creativity, while providing an opportunity to pause in the traditional pursuit of technique or product as the outcome.

* To earn 1 unit, you must enroll in spring reflection session, April 9. Although Open Arts Intensive takes place during spring break, the 1 unit accompanying session is formally registered as a spring quarter course. You must be enrolled or using Flex Term in Spring to be eligible for the 1 unit option. Details for enrolling in the course will be emailed to students signed up prior to the Spring Add Deadline.

What is Arts Intensive?

Arts Intensive offers students time to focus on a single, project-based arts class with campus faculty and guest artists. Arts Intensive courses provide the unique opportunity to create in small courses outside of the pressures of the regular academic year. At its best, Arts Intensive creates an atmosphere of intense artistic exploration, encouraging collaboration and innovation.
