UPDATE: Arts Intensive has been suspended for 2020. We expect the program to resume in 2021.

What students say

"The Arts Intensive was valuable to me because it was outside of the regular school year. I had time to focus solely on my creative work without the pressure of other classes” - Arts Intensive Student

Steps to Apply

  1. Decide which course(s) to apply to.  You may apply up to three but may only participate in one.
  2. Determine if you are eligible and learn what will be required in your commitment. Read the full Commitment Form for all details.
  3. Review the question below that all seminars require.  Some courses may also include additional questions.  Draft your responses outside of the application and then submit the final version.

Application Question

Please write an essay (around 200 words) explaining why you are applying to this seminar. Think about these two questions: How do you see this seminar contributing to your academic and/or personal growth and your growth as an artist? What do you think you could contribute to the seminar experience? Among the possible topics to consider in forming your response: long-term or recently discovered interest in the arts; desire to explore your own creativity; personal and cultural background, including experience in the arts; relevant extracurricular activities. Be specific and offer details that illustrate your experience and what you can contribute to the seminar.
