Internship Opportunities at Emilio Pucci, Spring Quarter 2018

We are very pleased to announce that starting in spring 2018 there will be seven new internship positions available in every quarter for qualified Stanford students enrolled in the Florence Program. Emilio Pucci, one of the world’s most prestigious and well known luxury fashion houses, wants you to be a part of the Heritage Team! In spring quarter the internships will average 15-20 hours per week and will begin the week of April 2, 2018 and end the week of June 4, 2018. 1.     Emilio Pucci Archive: Developing New Database – Archive Management

Emilio Pucci Archive is looking for a Coding intern

This internship will provide the candidate (computer science majors with coding experience preferred) with the opportunity to create a new archive database for the Emilio Pucci Foundation. The candidate will be responsible for creating a new platform that will be used by the Emilio Pucci brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analysis of previous cataloguing systems
  • Analysis of past coding
  • Benchmarking of the fashion industry’s database interfaces and creation of best practices
  • Metadata creation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must be a computer science major with requested skills
  • Students must have a demonstrated a familiarity with and/or interest in coding
  • Ability to work in a team

 

2.     Emilio Pucci: Front-end Development

Emilio Pucci Archive is looking for a Coding intern

This internship will provide students majoring in computer science with a strong background in coding with the opportunity to create a new website dedicated to Palazzo Pucci, house of the Emilio Pucci Archives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and implementation of the front-end site
  • Creation of reusable templates for new web pages
  • Locating and selecting appropriate multimedia content, including still images, animations, music and video
  • Use of metadata and other methods to optimize search engine positions
  • Produce a competitor analysis of similar content
  • Building and daily updating of content per established designs and aesthetic standards
  • Archive and back-up content

REQUIREMENTS

Open to undergraduate computer science majors with the following skills:

  • Experience with web content management application(s)
  • An eye for innovation and familiarity with fashion
  • Ability to manage and track trends and statistics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team work skills

3.     Emilio Pucci: Post-Web Project – App Development

Emilio Pucci Archive is looking for an App Developer Intern

This internship will provide students majoring in computer science with a strong background in coding with the opportunity to create a new Emilio Pucci App based on current demands. Considering the changing landscape of web accessing, Emilio Pucci is looking to align itself with the increasing use of mobile applications.  The ideal candidate is a determined forward-thinking student, ready to challenge him/herself by developing an app.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and benchmark current competitors within the fashion field
  • Draft and pitch an innovative app based on primary and secondary research and contemporary demands
  • Develop an app from start to finish

4.Emilio Pucci: Consumer Interaction App Development

Emilio Pucci Archive is looking for an App Developer Intern

This internship will provide students majoring in computer science with a strong background in coding with the opportunity to the opportunity to create the very first Emilio Pucci App based on future trends.

We are looking for a determined forward-thinking computer science student, ready to challenge him/herself with the creation of an interactive tool specifically developed for customers seeking to experience a virtual version of Palazzo Pucci - the new experimental site dedicated to the brand’s founder, Emilio Pucci, and his creations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and benchmark current competitors within the fashion field
  • Draft and pitch an innovative app based on primary and secondary research and contemporary demands

5.     Emilio Pucci: Green Environmental Internship

Emilio Pucci is looking for a Green Environmental Intern

In the 21st century, companies and individuals can no longer assume that dealing with complex social challenges such as pollution or climate change can be set aside for future generations. A dawning era of creativity and innovation in “green technology” is bringing with it the promise of a healthier planet, as well as an increasing interest in sustaining its health. Palazzo Pucci is highly sensitive to sustainability issues and the evolving field of green technology and products. The internship focuses on evaluating and developing the “greenability” of Palazzo Pucci and the Emilio Pucci brand itself.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate the current landscape of Palazzo Pucci vis-à-vis sustainability
  •  Identify and implement solutions to improve on site sustainability through processes and products. This could include the development of a new line of products through the adaptation of “Zero-Waste”
  • Research “Made in Italy” and propose how the model can be adapted, through quality and craftsmanship, to meet the demands of an increasingly aware customer

6.     Emilio Pucci: Intellectual Property Intern

Emilio Pucci is looking for an Intellectual Property Intern

The success of a fashion company is often credited to its innovation and originality yet imitations and copies are an inevitable reality with which luxury brands struggle on a regular basis. In order to maintain their market share in a highly competitive and lucrative industry, heritage brands need to identify their valuable, intangible assets and agree on those to be protected and leveraged as intellectual property. Emilio Pucci is, to this day, one of the most coveted luxury brands thus making its designs a target for the counterfeit market.

The internship focuses on evaluating previous and current cases of intellectual property theft and implementing a plan of action with the aim of protecting the Emilio Pucci brand from imitations on a world-wide scale. The internship will offer the candidate a unique insight to the world of Italian luxury fashion and the Emilio Pucci Archives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate the current landscape of intellectual property throughout the fashion industry and align it with current modes of consumption
  • Identify and implement solutions to fight copies world-wide
  • Research the history of the Emilio Pucci brand and evaluate which intangible assets should be protected

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and team work skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all cross-functional teams
  • Be familiar with world-wide intellectual property laws and how they be approached on a national and international level
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the legal profession and IP Litigation law 

 

7.     Emilio Pucci: Business Development Intern

Emilio Pucci is looking for a Business Development Intern
