Stanford Introductory Studies Academic Technology Resources

Main content start

Whether you're looking to have your students build websites, do live polling in class or talk more to each other online, Stanford Introductory Studies offers a range of technical and pedagogical collaboration opportunities.

Your Academic Technology Specialist is available for

  • Brainstorming Sessions: Not sure what you're interested in? Chat about your syllabus, learning goals, or pain points, and we'll see which tech might work best for your needs (or, sometimes, no tech at all!)
  • One-on-One Training: Want someone to walk you through a new technology? We'll sit down and work through it step-by-step, with documentation and instructions customized to your projects as needed.
  • In-Class Workshops and Student Support: Are your students doing a digital assignment? Set up a time for the ATS to come to your class and teach your students a technical tool directly. The ATS can also prepare technical instructions for your course and field student questions. Please give your ATS at least two weeks notice if you would like to set up an in-class workshop!
  • Equipment Loans: SIS maintains a loan pool of teaching and multi-media equipment as an extra resource specifically for instructors in SIS programs. See the equipment.
